Empower Energy's innovative software synchronises the battery with homeowners' phones, offering optimisation features that provide real-time updates on upcoming weather events, grid status, battery charge levels, and backup reserve notifications. These notifications are accessible from any location, empowering users to take immediate action through the app or adjust battery settings as needed.

Ensuring a seamless user experience was at the forefront of the app design process. The interface was crafted for easy navigation, allowing users to easily access a comprehensive breakdown of energy generation and consumption throughout the day.

Strategic colour choices and iconography played a role in enhancing visual clarity within the app. These elements highlight distinctions between the grid, battery status, solar generation, and home consumption, ensuring users can quickly interpret essential information.

Graph design took centre stage in the app, offering users a clear visualisation of how their battery charges and discharges throughout the day and week. This graphical representation empowers users with insightful data to make informed decisions about their energy consumption.

Throughout the app design journey, three rounds of testing and interviews were conducted with homeowners familiar with similar battery systems. This iterative approach ensured design choices were not only valid but also easily understood and appreciated by users.
